The Shadle Park High School Pipe Band & Highland Dancers (SPHSPB) is unique because of its status as one of the only high school pipe bands in WA. The students actively enhance school pride as well as represent a distinct cultural background.
SPHSPB performs at charities and benefits, at schools (K-12), fairs, and cultural awareness days. The band also plays for weddings, funerals and celebrations, and regularly participates in both the St. Paddy’s Day and Lilac City Torchlight parades. SPHSPB has begun competing in the summers, placing at several of the Highland Games it has entered in. The Highland dancers compete all over the Pacific coast, from BC to OR, as well as ID, MT, and AB.
The band is from Spokane, Washington. We welcome them back this year.

The Three Rivers Dulcimer Society from Tri-Cities, WA returns this year for more traditional Scottish and Celtic music played on Appalachian dulcimers (also called mountain dulcimers) and other traditional instruments.
TRDS performs at 9:45-10:15 AM on Main Stage and in the afternoon on Dance Stage.
Joining us for the first time is the Highland Pipe Band from greater metropolitan Tieton, Washington and surrounding areas. The band's repertoire of traditional Scottish pipe band music (and even some modern tunes as well) is a welcome attraction at this year's fest.
The band is lead by Pipe Major Darin Reckord and Drum Major Dayna Wilkinson.
HPB performs during the Opening Ceremonies.
From west of Tri-Cities, WA and east of Prosser, Skweez The Weezle returns for a 14th Festival (they've been with us since the beginning). They bring their own brand of Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, Wales, Canada, and the USA.
Skweez The Weezle founding member David Lanigan plays Scottish lowland pipes, tenor mandola, and whistles. Troy Hanford plays guitar and sings lead vocals. Percussionist Mike Day plays bodhràn, djembe, and the shaky egg (a crowd favorite). Glenn Mortenson plays Irish bouzouki, mandolin, and fiddle.
